BBK full injector sizing choices choices!

ive been looking around the different BBK dyno threads, looking specifically at the injector sizes people are using. im doing a completely new build up as this is my second evo. will 650cc injectors be enough?

MAP 400hp fuel kit (650cc injectors)

MAP 600hp fuel kit(950cc injectors)

i was hoping for something close to 400hp on a mustang dyno. i know thats not really going to happen without the use of high octane fuel.

there are no e85 stations here in washington state that i know of, at least according to google maps anyways.

this car will be running 92 (yep, i said 92) octane pump gas.

Chad usually recommends 780s!! Its the optimum..
Porting the ex/in manifolds might get u to 400s.. Head and throttle body as well!

Go with Precision 880cc. They will still idle perfect and you wont worry about running out of fuel. If you want E85 go with 1200cc.

I run 880 on my ported BBK full, 91 octane+meth (28psi), with about every bolt-on/ported stock part

385whp/373wtq on Cobb's super low reading dyno @ 4200 ft. elevation in Salt Lake ( you lose about 3% of hp for every 1000 feet above sea level)

Seems like most cars that are done at CBRD come with 780's, but honestly going larger doesn't hurt. I have FIC 1050's and on pump, IDC's are in the 60% area, fantastic injectors and I can also run the car on E85 with a little headroom.

If you can spend a little extra, the Injector Dynamics 1000's are amazing.

You'll need to have a pretty extensive mod list to hit 400whp on 92, but if you toss on an alky injection kit or E85, you'll break it with ease. Good luck!

I would go as large as you can just "incase" you change mind and go bigger. It's not like 1000cc or 1200cc can't be tuned on the stock ecu. Good luck with the build. I would say 880cc or 1000cc just incase you change your mind in the future.

the bigger the better in the long run. as long as the injectors are scaled properly by the tuner you shouldn't have driveablity propblems with 1200CC or below also depending on the brand of course.

Go big. 1000 will leave you room to grow. I had rc 750 on stock turbo at 98% idc and when i switched to Tomie turbo there way to small 108% idc and still havnt put my cams in yet and im not done playing with the boost levels yet. Theres also a 76 station in auburn by drift office that has 101 at the pump.
