Since all you guys now how to port a head explain to me how a f*cked up my head since i'm simply cleaning up the ports. Hear is another pic of the left side untouched and right side ported. If anyone on here is a pro machinest please chime in and tell me where i screwed up.

All other hater's please stay out of my thread..

I agree with the haters on here welcome to evo m..but as this head goes i would take to a machine shop and have then just clean up better and polish it for u smooth...

^^ Thank's guys i have to bring it to a machine shop anyway to get it hot tanked and o-ringed and i'll see what he thinks. I've delt with him before for some other motors and i know he's done some fast 4863's in NY.

you cant see it in that picture.
try putting a gasket on the head and see how much the edges were cut away.

I don't think he ported the head at all... I think he simply removed the casting bumps and smoothed it out.

The way the light reflects off the surface for the picture I think is quite deceiving.

Take a close up macro pic of the port floor, port ceiling, and the side of the walls. Post those up. Turn off the flash and put it under some good lights.

To me it doesnt look its even been pulled out the gasket in the first pic. Hard to tell though Walt, looking at your next picture it looks to me exactly as you described it just cleaned up.

I will bet you a dollar the gasket will overhand at all the red arrows. a good 3mm or more.
paper wheels cut corners away very rapidly. you should have bolted steel gasket to flange to avoid this.
head is not useless by no means. just wont be easy to correct this error.

The picture of the porting in post 20 is not even the same head!

the fubar port job was done on port 4. then he does some porting on another head for picture in post 20. those are ports 1 and 2.

funny stuff dude..

It is the same head. whatever dude, but i do agree with you that i should have bolted the gasket to the head when porting.
But i asure you that i didn't go past the gaskets edge.
