Fuel pressure regulator question
Fuel pressure regulator question
Hey all. I got a Aeromotive FPR for christmas, it was a kit with braided line and an-6 fittings. I got it all installed and set the base pressure to a little over 40 with the vacuum line disconnected. All seems to run fine and no noticable leaking. When I shut the car off it still held about 20 PSI on the ful pressure gauge. The next morning it was 5 PSI and now today it is at 0 PSI. Should the fuel system always hold a pressure or is what I am describing normal. I hope this is not an indication of a small leak. Thanks for any help.
This is normal. System pressure will not be an eternal constant. There may be a slightly leaky o-ring, or schraeder valve etc., but don`t worry about it. Pressure may just escape back down the return line overnight.
