I'm in the market for a new turbo. Initially I was set of spending the money and going with the BBK full. A local friend of mine was a tester for the MA SST turbo this past summer, he's now looking to go bigger and is selling his SST for a good price.
Overall the SST gives me mixed impressions. Quick, cheap, but I question it's longevity, as this turbo did in fact fail in less than a few months. It was covered under warranty, and said to have been upgraded but still I just don't know if I trust it.
Through my searching I could find very little info and feedback on the SST.
Anyone else have experience with these two turbos? Anything else I should be aware of?
I'm not concerned with peak power numbers, I want around 400 whp on pump, stock ish spool, and long life. Is the BBK worth the extra money as I don't have any personal experience with this turbo.
