ACD Lights Turned On After Installing New Battery
my OEM battery died a couple days ago and i just put in a new Optima Red Top (Red 35) and on my way home the ACD lights turned on. could installing the new battery cause this or is my ACD pump going out? my car seems like it's running as good as when i bought it so i hope my ACD is fine and the problem lies somewhere else. any ideas? maybe a shorted fuse?

okay well i went to drive my car and the lights turned off after i started it. i didnt even disconnect the battery or anything. they were just off. i could toggle between Tarmac, Gravel, and Snow like usual. when i got home i turned off my car and turned it back on and the ACD lights came on again. i turned off my car and turned it on again and the lights were off. i repeated this a couple more times and the lights stayed off and i could toggle between the setting like usual. why do the lights come on at random times?
Any follow up to this?
I just noticed the ACD lights on driving back from lunch. Pushing the button didn't change anything. I'll see if they come on for the drive home. If it's still happening, I'll try the battery disconnect and will report back.

when all 3 of my lights went on the car still drove fine. i drove it like that for about 10k miles. finally brought it to the dealer and my acd pump went bad thats why the lights were on. so if i were u id go get it checked out
Thanks for the update. Was your ACD covered by warranty or did you have to pay?
On the drive home, only one ACD showed and it was under Snow. I had pushed the button a couple times earlier. I was able to cycle through them and the single light stayed. I'll be watching it for the next few days.

it was under warranty they replaced the whole pump system for me! ya and at first all 3 lights would only come on every once in a while and theyd shut off if i turned the car off and then back on and eventually after a while they just stayed fully on till i got it fixed
This happened to me about a year ago. I took it to the dealer to get it checked and it ended up being the ACD pump. Luckily it was covered under warranty. They ended up replacing the active center diff pressure sensor, the "hydraulic 4wd control unit" and bled/filled the system.
When the 3 lights were on I didn't notice any changes as far as how the car drove. The lights were intermittent as well and only seemed to turn on during the hottest days.

My ACD lights are coming on as well lately, same thing as you guys are saying: car drives fine, and when i turn off the car and turn back on, it goes back to having only one light on at a time and I can toggle through the different modes. 5-10 mins into driving, and they all come on again. Truly not looking to go to the dealer though
