The pricing on these is set very close to as low as we can get them. The solenoids are EXPENSIVE and that's why we haven't built more in about a year. I'm not even sure there is going to be a dealer price on these because of that.

Thanks for the good words.

It can be setup with anything, it runs off of a 12v source. I'm not positive on the boost by gear like me mentioned, but Im sure you would have to splice the 12v source into a specific wire in the ecu harness and you'd set up a trigger via Tephra.

Dave - Why go this route (MBC) over the ECU controlled boost ? Your design sounds nice and I am sure I am missing something, but can't the ECU controlled boost do the same thing ?

Very very nice DB...once I live in an area where E85 is readily available this would great if I had to switch from 93 & e85...

You do not have to switch 12v, you can also switch the ground, which many times is easier to do.

In the AEM, Haltech, ViPEC etc., you can trigger things through vehicle speed. The stock ECU I'd guess can do the same thing but you'll need to get info from Tephra.

If you want to use ECU controlled boost by all means do that. I've found it to be annoying and a PITA, so I stick with manual controllers.

For reference I have 10 units now. Whether or not we make more will depend on how quickly these 10 move and availability of the solenoids again.

Does the solenoid run on 5v or 12v? The Aquamist has a 5v output for failsafe; currently I have this wired into my stock ecu for mapswitching and it uses a GM BCS to control the boost (more info here), but I suppose this 5v could go to the solenoid as well as the ecu input for switching boost at the same time as switching fuel/timing maps.

Hrm, mebbe a summer project.
aquamist also has the relay, you could most likely use that to triger hi/lo boost instead of the 5v out, thats how I'm controlling my avcr so that it doesn't drop to wastegate on failsafe but drops to a level I control it to.

I have 5v to ecu to switch maps and the scramble switch on the avcr connected to the relay which shunts to ground on failsafe.

Almost certain this one can be rigged one side on NO and one side NC for hi/lo boost through aquamist.
