Motor Swap Q

So first off I dont know if this is where I should post this or not but if needs to be changed or moved mods go ahead or let me know and I will move it or what not. My question is can you can you put a IX motor in a VIII and if you can what do needs to be changed? If you cant what is the problem and causes you not to be able to? I have no plans on doing this as of right now but would like to look at it as an option if I ever blow my motor cause I know I wont EVER be able to do a motor build unless I hit the lottery jack pot. Any input would be appreciated? Maybe by Dave Buschur or any other top builders would be great. Thanks for reading.

not to do it at all close to right. It costs nearly 600 just put the thing together and fill.
headstuds-100
gasket set-250
driveline oils- 100
oil pump -180
timing belt plus tensioner-110

It adds up fast man, thats still with no coolant and other odds and ends. The oil pump is preventative maintenance but still not many people re use it, even when on a tight budget.
