Just out of curiousity and seeing how I am looking for a clutch here soon, would anyone reccomend buying a used pressure plate and flywheel and ordering a brand new clutch disc?

I'm trying to save some money on my build but trying to play it safe as well...

Oh and im also in the market for an act clutch, it also just so happens that there is someone selling a flywheel and pressure plate act for sale used. Please let me know if its not reccomended so I can save myself some time, thanks!

 

personally i would by a brand new act clutch. in your case act hdss

 

I have a used Competition Clutch 3.5 pressure plate for sale if you are interested. I am willing to sell it suuuuuper cheap + shipping. PM me.

 

If you have both resurfaced there should be no issues with it at all. Also take a close look at the pressure plate for bent springs from removing the tranny. If you wrestle it out of the car its not uncommon to damage some of the spring fingers on the pressure plate. If they all look fine and both surfaces are prepped properly it should be work as new.
