So does "boost cut" actually cut the spark?

I have no clue...i thought it was a fuel cut? this is something i read off some random forum throughout probably 12-15 hours of google work. its all a bit blurry though.

I hear people say boost cut and I know there is a boost cut option in ECU flash, but how people describe it, it sounds like fuel cut, which cuts the spark. Like on the DSMs
