Oil catch can question
I'm looking into the Greddy catch can but I don't know which to order. 9mm or 15mm. Please help if you can, so I don't order the wrong one. Thanks!

IMO a catch can is a catch can. Now I think I'm gonna go with a weapon r for half the price. Highly recommend one to anyone because have you seen the inside of your intake lately? Scared me!

Totally wrong.
Buschur's catch can is not baffled, but doesn't depend on vaccum and drains back to the pan. This is fine. I'm defiantly not expert or a famous Evo tuner, but in my opinion, I wouldn't run this design UNLESS, you install bigger fittings off the valve cover and remove you PCV valve for better flow. The stock fittings are just so tiny and I feel that without vaccum the tiny fittings won't allow enough flow. But with a big AN fitting, I wouldn't find a porblem with it. This way is great since there is absolutly zero chances of any blow by getting back into you intake or intake manifold.
The Cusco and Weapon R cans DO depend on vaccum, but the bad part is, they're hollow. They're not going to do anything but maybe look nifty.
The catch cans that uses vaccum needs to have some sort of baffle, screen, or stainless steel mesh/wool to catch and "filter" out the oil vapor. Some vapors may still pass but it's far better than a hollow can or the stock configuration.
Search "oil catch can" and I'm sure you'll find many posts about the saiko michi(sp?) DC3 cans. Elite Engineering makes a good one too. That's what I use on my PCV side. On the breather side I use a small inline fuel filter which works great. Just need to change it ever few thousand miles, but it's only $2. I usually try to hide it because it's not the prettiest thing in the world.
