Wich Turbo?

New 2 Forum have had many h22a nitrous motors n the past moved up n class and now a evo 8. the car has had a stock tune and ran 320whp and 320tq on 101 and ran a 12.799 at fontana yesterday. I am now borred with the power and need more so here s a list of the mods on the car:

K&N filter
Tanabe TBE with Nvidia Test Pipe
Walbro 255
Turbontics Boost Controller
Action Clutch (6 Puck Sprung)
Tunning Technologies Tune

I am looking to run a 11.8 1/4 mile with bout 400whp on 101 gas, I will get injectors, Intake and hks 280 cams with valves and retainers with arp headstuds only thing left s the turbo can I make 400whp with the fp green?. This s my daily driver and dont mind the loss of power n low rpms dont drag n the streets just for fun @ the track.

I would grab yourself an FP Red honestly. No problem at all making 500hp on stock block and you can do over 400 on pump. Also spool is only a few 100rpms slower than stock. My red spools at 3800. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...red-535hp.html

Also I have a HKS 272/280 combo for sale and PTE 880cc injectors. Both only have 10k miles on them and will let you have them for a great price shipped. Let me know if you are interested. Shoot me a pm. Save you a lot of money then buying brand new!

That is what I'm doing. The Black will be on the car in a few weeks

The Red spools between 3.6-3.8k and the Black between 3.9-4.1k. It really depends on your mods and cams.

My Red is being delivered to me today. I have the same goal as you and originally looked at the green. Went with Red in case I get bored with 400whp later on. Good Luck!

If you don't mind a tad more lag, then it sounds like the FP Black is the turbo for you. Also, instead of the HKS cams, you might want to look at the Kelford camshafts, or the GSC S2's for your VIII. If you don't already have an upgraded IC, then you may want to get a 4" cored intercooler as well.
