Okay well as u all know any o2 dump is like having a second exhaust, it gets extremely hot and is right next to the LICP.

My question is, what have people done to prevent the LICP from taking in the heat that the o2 dump gives off?

WRAP the LICP with DEI tape?
or what else can u do?

I had mine wrapped with DEI tape. I only see it getting really hot on track days since you don't really do WOT pulls constantly around the streets.

 

Hm this is a good point. Either the DEI or that gold foil NASA wrap thats being sold would likely be a good remedy to keeping heat off the lower IC pipe.

 

I DEI wrapped my EPM dump that actually rests against my ETS coupler. I check it every once in a while and still no problems or signs of melting the coupler.
