Is a Radiator fan needed for a Thicker Radiator?

If I change my radiator to a thicker one is the radiator fan still needed for street driving

You do not want to be driving 'round with no radiator fan my friend, if I where you I'd get a thicker radiator a slimer fan!

Radiators need air flow to work. It's not a heat sink.

I have not used the inner rad fan on my car for over a year and a half now temp has never gone up as a result. I still have the outer fan though FWIW

your outer fan is the the AC. but when the car notices there inner fan not working it kicks on the outer fan for safety

Have you logged your coolant temps? The in car gauge only starts going above halfway at something like 225F.

Yup I was aware but it will kick on from time to time even if AC and defroster is off

yep. even when ac is removed it will still go on. imo if both fans go on its because the ecu said ''yo fan #2 heeeeeeeeeeeeelp''

I'd keep both fans if possible. I ran only the outer fan for a year without any issues though.

i would like to run a slim fan on the outer and wire it to my inner slim fan to go on together. i wonder if it would help. lol
