JIC exhausts and downpipes

anyone have any experience with them .. i love their titanium exhaust which i was planning on getting .. then i was just gonna grab their 3 inch ss downpipe .. then all i would need is a cat delete pipe ?? like the one from ultimate racing or perrin ??
how is the fit on the titanium exhaust .. i think i read in one of the forums someone saying JIC has quality issues with their exhaust ?

I've had a JIC full Ti catback on my car for 6mo. fitment was great, straight as a stick and sounds great!

Just out of curiousity why are you guys considering such an expensive exhaust system?

I am looking for honest answers here, I want to give my input once I get a couple and may end up doing something on our end to change and get some these sales.

Please give me your input.

I will give you my honest answer.

I would be willing to pay the money for a JIC exhaust because it:
1) Looks cool
2) Sounds cool
3)Since JIC is a reputable JDM company, I "assume" it will provide performance gains as well (even though it might not be the best performer).

As long as it offers a performance gain, i don't really care that much. There will always be a debate on which exhaust makes more power anyway. Look and sound are heavily weighted 60% of my decision.

For me, i have to have style. Subtle or not, it has to look good.

Thats why i plan on getting a buschur exhaust with my choice of a muffler

EVO8 guy, we are searching right now for a picture of that tip.

Our exhaust is 24 pounds from the turbo to the tip. Complete 3" system, 24 pounds. Mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel, every single part of it is 304 SS.

We found the picture of the tip. They offer two large straight cut tips. One has the burned look. Which one are you looking at?

I bet I can duplicate the burned look here, I will give it a try if someone is interested.

The JIC titanium $1149 for the catback, I am unsure of the weight. Ours weighs in at 16 pounds for the cat back and costs $450. The stock catback weighs in at 37 pounds.

I believe quite a few people are drawn to that "angled tip" look.

Even I'll admit to it looking pretty sharp.

David - when i got my evo, jic was the only full ti catback available. having roadraced motorcycles for ten years, i knew how light titanium systems were for bikes (i had one on my 600 superbike that cost me $2,000 ) i would guess that my evo system weighs about 8lbs, has no resonator and one slight 20 deg or so angle leading the the can which exits at an angle. i would have bought a domestic ti pipe if one was available. i guess ti is just expensive. but, it seems to hold up really well.

David, by you asking this it's clear that you're missing on alot of sales. There are alot aftermarket exhaust mfg. out there for the Evo enthusiast to choose from.
IMO there all pretty close in function. I mean come'on we're talking strait pipe with a can at the end. I think the deciding factory for many is quality, fitment, sound and looks. I will be honest in saying that i've eliminated your offerings despite any advantage in weight savings or power gains because.

-Your downpipe uses spacers. There are other options out there that do not require spacers.

-I prefer the JDM style angled tips and size like many of the popular brands such as HKD, JIC, 5Zigen, Tanabe, etc.

I appreciate you asking what potential costumers want. As a business man sometimes you got to address the needs of your costumer if you want a piece of the action. If not they will go elsewhere. No one says you have to have only one style exhaust system, so you could keep what you have and add on to your offerings.

I have been looking at your exhasut system, But I am also in favor of the JDM look. Nothing against your system, It always gets high reviews.

I noticed that you offer the magnaflow, Will you allow the use of a different tip like the N1 style???

Dave - believe me you're not mising out on a lot of sales....there are very few people with the Ti cat back (which is incredbily light weight), and in this day and age of non authorized dealers whoring stuff out, it does not sell for close to the above price (which is MSRP).
