Hole in Transmission!!!!aaaahhh!

Ok well just had my evo8 come in at 2 this morning(baught on ebay)

On my lunch break i drove home and popped the hood and noticed WTF! there is a hole in the transmission. Its about the size of a half dollar coin an perfectly round.

The hole is definitly factory made and it just looks like something popped out of it.

I will post some pics when i get off as its really hard explain the location, but if anyone has a idea of what it could be your input is very well apreciated

Thanks

SubieEvoGuy

At first glance I saw the keywords ebay, hole, transmission. That was scary at first.

Ahhhhh!!!!!! My car is missing the passenger rear floor mat! What do I do!?!?!?!

And yes, a rubber stopper goes in that port hole. I'm sure you can pick one up at the dealer. There's one on the bottom of the tranny too so check to see if that one's missing too.

It likely had a hydraulic TOB clutch installed at some point then, becuase most of those run the hose out that hole.

You're fine. I would get the rubber piece anyway though. Keep water, dust, etc. out.

Congrats on your new ride

It probably had the clutch replaced, and who ever did it just didn't put it back
