Looked this up and couldn't find anything helpful . I am about to order a Forge Actuator for my car which has a 05 Evo 8 10.5 turbo .
The question being is do i need to order a Evo 8 actuator or an Evo 9 ?
The reason i ask is because since it is a 10.5 on the 05 and not a 9.8 like the rest of them would that make any difference ?
I compared my stock actuator from the 10.5 Evo 8 turbo to the Evo 9 actuator and they look identical , the bolt pattern and even the length of the rod and the position of it .

They should be different so order the evo viii version. The VIII also fits VII and VI but the IX only fits the IX.

 

Well is there a difference in actuators thought because the 03-04 use a 9.8 and the 05 is a single flap 10.5 ?

I saw a thread where a guy owned a 05 and had to mod his 8 Forge actuator because it did not fit .
