Strange One For You - Clutch Problem

Driving into the office this morning (Saturday projects suck).

Doing some spirited driving on the empty Saturday morning roads and suddenly my clutch pedal has no tension. It rebounds off the floor just fine. But zero tension and I am locked out of all gears.

I was able to force the car into first and granny shift through the gears to get myself to the office.

Half way on the drive the clutch started working fine again. Full tension.

It almost felt like the Throw out Bearing for a while was not making contact any longer when pushing the clutch pedal down? I have no idea. I know the car is working again now. But I am scared it will happen again soon.

Really not feeling like dropping the tranny this weekend.

Clutch

Wow bro that sounds like a ghost of an issue, thankfully from the pedal down the whole system is pretty easy to inspect. I hope you dont have to drop the tranny, never a fun task. Id look for any fluid or possible leaks, and even closer at the slave. Good luck man let us know how it turns out.

Thanks for the response.

I am wondering the issue that the STM fork stop was designed for got me - but somehow it corrected itself for the time being....

so you're saying the pedal would just drop to the floor??? If so it sounds like the master cylinder I had a volkswagon that had that issue with the brake master cylinder it did it to me twice and I replace it.

Nope. I am saying the pedal would have zero tension. If I pressed it in it would bounce back just fine.

But normally the pedal has a great pressure to push it in. Now it had zero but did recoil. Had nothing to with fluid. There are zero leaks etc....

It had to with Throw out bearing I believe. But looking for others opinions.
