8 and 9 intake manifold question

Are they both exactly alike? I'm considering picking up a 8 intake manifold for my IX and was wondering if it's identical and would fit .

you sure about that one could have swore they are the same and yes you have mivec in the head but that's just a extra oil line that goes from head to the block

I don't think there are any clearance issues in regards to Mivec, but the sensor placement is a bit different. We have stock Evo 9 manifolds in house, and we can certainly port them as well, what were you after?

I've compared them side to side. They place some stuff in slightly (very slight) different spots, but they are identical as far as mounting. Also the IX ones are much more closely gasket matched than an 8 one.

You will be fine.

I'm going to first attempt to locate a IX intake manifold from a member first, if all fails I'll try that option

Question

intake manifold (IM) part numbers:

USDM
8 & 9= MN137746

JDM
7 = MR560536
8 = MR561302
9 = 1540A035

I wonder if the JDM 9 IM is better than the USDM IM?
