IC pipe blowout, fixed, now high idle?
IC pipe blowout, fixed, now high idle?
Did a pull today and blew off the IC pipe which connects to the throttle body. Fixed the car the best i could on the side of the road and babied it home. Once home i re tightened the t-bolt clamp, started the car up, and realized that the idle was now raised from what used to be 1100 to somewhere around 1600-1800. I was wondering if this was a common occurrence, or if when the clamp let go it somehow messed with the biss screw. Any input is appreciated, Thanks for your time, Daryl.
question is, did you adjust it previously or are you even the original owner? boost leaks will screw with idle. tightening your LICP now got rid of boost leak hence you must adjust idle again.
Iv had the car for the past 4 years. The idle was fine previously to the blowout, it was just tuned by ams about 3 weeks ago. Il tweak the screw around some and see of that helps at all. Im pretty sure i dont have a boost leak, but i haven't checked so im not 100% on that. I kinda just wanted to see if this has ever happened to anyone else.

you cannot just tweak the idle screw like other cars... search for how to adjust idle via ecuscan....
if you tightend a loose licp (which blew off eventually) and now your idle is up, it means you got RID of a boost leak. thats why your idle changed
