wildman... your ruff idle and stuttering are all from running vta, which i'm assuming you are running because you said it's loud and attracts a whole lotta attention. that's nothing to do with the valve but just the nonrecirc setup. otherwise you'd say it holds boost like a champ yeah? so there's no problems... if you wanna keep yer hks then just get the recirc kit, no matter how much you fiddle with teh screws its not gonna make the maf read blown off air.

i also don't understand what you people get out of calling a blo off valve a ricer toy. how many rice cars you see out there with blow off valves? the only times i see turbo civics and integras i get unhappy cuz they are actually faster than what your grandma drives but that doesn't mean a bov is a ricer's toy. tell me that all the drifters in japan with vta bovs are ricers. tell me that all the wrc cars are rice cars. tell me that all open track cars are ricey. SUCK A DICK AND SHUTUP. it's called tuning your car, upgrading, making it faster and more efficient. not all people get the valve for the noise. you just hear a couple of big people on the forums hate on an actual performance component by associating it with a certain demographic of car enthusiasts and you just gotta follow suit huh?

I have the HKS SSQV and it rocks! Dunno why anyone would say it's "terrible" unless they don't like the noise...

Gruppe-S is selling the bov from the MR. Probably the same as the 1g bov. Either way its an upgrade from the stock one.

I just switched from the Forge DV to the tial. I'll have it install next week and write a review.

Atp Bov Soon!!!

I have been wanting the HKS BOV but have come across the ATP BOV and i think i will wait for that to come out. Looks really nice and has a VTA with a anti stall feature built in. It also is adjustable from a street valve to a full race valve using the same BOV. Should check it out i think it will be a hot item.

I had to edit the poll just too vote.

Nothing has the drivability of the 1G, Stock, or MR.
The Greddy is good when properly adjusted.
The HKS is NOT good on the Evo. No matter how many people have talked about his in the past it is somehow still leading the poll.
I attribute the shaft play that I do have in my turbo to the Forge I had. With every spring combination and 2 different piston designs it is still is not right. I went back to the stocker and the car was a dream to drive. After putting the Buschur IC piping on and the 1G, I found the 1G to be just as happy on the car as the stocker with the advantage of being of metal construction.

You want an answer? Buy an MR valve from Gruppe-S if you want to upgrade from plastic. If you are going with custom IC pipe then the 1G is perfect.

But that is based on opinion. My statement is based on test results.
The SSQV had some of the worst compressor surge even at it's softest setting.

don't know about the Turbo XS, I will look and see if it was one of the ones tested.

I think you either go Mitsu (3 to choose from) or the Greddy using Silver Surfers methods. That's just my opinion based on what I know from here and other sources.

I have the steath fx bov from go fast bits. It has a fully adjustable spring and can be adjusted to vent to air, recirculate, or both. It is a nice quality bov and I am completly satisfied with it.

What test results??? Do you have a link??? My SSQV blows off cleanly and I don't have any problems with it other than the fact it's really LOUD...

My SSQV blows off cleanly and holds the boost...I dunno what all this stuff is about compressor surge...I'm not having any problems, AFAIK...
