when i get my motor build i think im going with a 4g64 LR 2.2 with HTA3582 kit! but i know it aint gonna be cheap
LR2.2 ya thats no where near the land of cheapness LOL. really should do a 2.1 with a 4g64 block to be honest.

I have both the LR 2.4 & the 2.2l 4g63, and I can honestly say there is no such thng as a cheap build.

They both use the same rods and both use custom pistons. The only difference is the stroke. A used 4g64 crank is what, $300 before polishing? A new 4340 forged 94mm crank for a 2.2L is under $600. Last i checked, $300 difference isnt anything to cry about.

thats what im saying no land of cheapness then cost for labor if you dont do your own work things start to get pricey. I know most would love a built shorty but whether 2.0-2.4 price of block+ labor is what gets you in the 5k+ region fast and easy. so yes once your knee deep in it all 300 difference does not seem like anything but if you are just planning on paper then you can get a ideal if this is something that is healthy for your budget.

I am also currently in the process of building my 2.4lr. Im only letting it rev to 8k but Im also shooting for the 750 to 800 HP range my wallet has really been hurting esp seems how the car has been at 585hp for the past year on a stock 2.0 block. Now I'm changing everything. Its about time to start selling some parts. But good luck with your build.
