So I keep loosing one of my intake rockers. So far I've replaced the spring's and the retainers. The valves are fairly new as well a the retainers. So I was told to check the retainers to make sure theyre not too tight. How do I do that?

 

How do you loose your rocker? which part wears out?

The rocker rides directly on the valve. The position of the retainer doesn't make a difference. There is no way to check the valve spring retainer tightness.

 

Hmm it appears that your valve gets stuck in the guide or gets stuck open somehow. How long does it usually take for the rocker to come off?

 

As soon as I take it above 7k rpm

 

do you have any clearance issues with piston valve contact?

retainers being to tight would have nothing to do with it unless they wrapped all the way around and touched each other and touched. which would make you drop a valve if anything.
