I've been twisting the spring adjustment but I don't quite notice a change. I've tried a few turns harder and a few softer... It says the spring adjuster is supposed to stop when it's either fully soft or stiff, yet mine appears to just keep rotating. It gets a little easier to turn then it gets harder to turn but it never really stops. Perhaps mine is not functioning?

I looked at the noise adjuster and it shows it's 100% atmosphere so I closed it off down to about 70 recirc, 30 atmosphere but it just made the sound quieter.

Car doesn't buck as hard now off the throttle, but the fluttering is still there. Unchanged to my ears, just quieter but oscillating the same amount of times.

This is a greddy bov? ive had friends with the greddy and have had the same issue, no matter how you turn the dial it doesnt really affect anything... I would just switch back to a stock MR one or pick up a Forged one, or if you want to spend a little bit of money the new TIAL can recirc...

IMO i would find a friend with an Evo and swap BOV, drive it and see if it fixes the issue... then go from there

I pulled my BOV off and put the MR back on and it seemed to have reduced the problem. I was very supprised it changed it so much.

well I think I am going to just sell the turbosmart BOV....... stick with the standard as everyone seems to have said but I was too stupid to listen

Cheers for all the help

I figured out my problem is due to a T connection from the intake vacuum line before it reaches the BOV.

I'm still trying to figure out how to fix it and find another source of vacuum on the intake, but at least I know why now.

Brett at GFB actually has been assisting via email. Wonderful customer support.

I've noticed this as well since I got my evo a couple of months ago. My 1g dsm didn't have that compressor surge as much as the evo does, but the 1g dsm had a bigger turbo.

I don't really care for it that much but was able to alter my driving style slightly to reduce the surging and that seemed to help a little.
