I just got ahold of VIAIR. The crack pressure if 5 psi for all their check valves... way too high for crankcase ventilation. Did you say that you are using these?

Yes I am using one on my car. and yes 5 psi is way to high , however I am pretty sure, that the suction from my mouth could not attain 5 psi, if so I now understand why my wife married me ( ok maybe a little to early in the morning for that retoric)

I have an extra one I think at my house, you can try it out if you like. pm your address and I will send it your way.

I guess that means you were able to make it crack using suction from your mouth?

I'm changing my setup a bit and was wondering simply which fitting would have the least amount of restriction/highest flow. A 90* fitting vs a 90* hose end. My head tell me the 90* hose end because the curve is gradual. Anyone throw me a bone?

The curved fitting will be best, but the difference is almost nonexistent at the flow rates due to blow-by.

Probably not really going to make a whole lot of difference at the volume levels you'll be moving. If it did you'd want to increase the fitting size all together.

That said the hose fittings look better. Can't go wrong with that.

Thanks guys - second opinion to what I was thinking is always good. I just got my Fairclough -10AN fitting today, looks nice and after a few hours in the freezer it went right in the factory hole nice and snug. With some mitsu-bond it's money

Just to add my 2 cents, you have to consider the space that you have available, with the hose end it has a bigger radius so is going to take more space.

Your exactly right - thank you. I went out and measured and the left/passenger side of my can will require the 90* fitting whereas on the driver side I can use the 90* curved hose fitting.

When I have time I will data log the use of various ports...exhaust scavenge, turbo inlet, 1 vs 2 -10AN's, etc.

Impressive vent setup. What check valve is that? (All the thermocouples are impressive as well.)

I don't have data to say how well it works, but thanks. The valve is a NAPA 2-29000 unit.

I was lucky to beta test the new Garrett v-band twin scroll turbine housing so I promised to provide data in exchange. Hence the thermocouples, pressure sensors, and turbo speed sensor.

I run the same check valve... And i have my scavenge set up at a 45... Still havent tested with a pressure tester but i can say at idle my exhaust seems to pull more vacuum then my pcv...

My turbo got dicked up so i've had to dismantle a lot of **** to figure out if it was the turbo or other systems...but maybe when i get it back together i can move my boost control sensor for a bit and test other pressures... I know at temp my engine pulls -6/-7" hg at idle... I just need to test turbo charge pipe vacuum and exhaust vacuum...
