Oil catch can--- 2 holes???

Can somebody please explain in detail. The can has 2 inlets. I see everbody is only using one. DO I have to plug the extra inlet?? Why is there 2 inlets??

Also The hose I remove from the valve cover to replace with the can hose, I cap correct? What is the purpose of the hose and wont it defeat that purpose by capping it off???

Only one inlet. Think about two inlets and no outlet, it'll build up pressure and blow. You cap it to prevent the extra oil to go into the pipings. The tube that goes to the inlet of your oil catch can will screw on. The other hole, the outlet, can either go back to the other tube below the tube u connected to the engine valve cover (but you will get a little bad oil and deposits in ther eif you do so) ot leave it opened to the atmosphere which will polute the environment just a little bit but it really doenst matter. So this is what you do.

Pull the tube off from valve Cover. Cap it. Connect hose to the valve cover and connect it to the oil catch can. Install the can in a safe place. Leave the outlet hole opened to atmosphere.

The hose that you pull off the valve cover... What is the purpose of that hose if you can just cap it and forget about it?

I have no clue but I'll take a WAG...probably from the pressure inside the engine and extra oil and deposits have to go somewhere and it should end up in that tube. To save the environment, it goes back to the piping causing the damage. The oil catch tank catch it instead. And also, you can put a breather filter there instead of an oil catch tank...much cheaper but i rather have my Cusco Oil Catch tank.

unless you 're racing or running your EVO really hard there is no use for a catch can. It may look COOL to most , but the need is not there for most.

SUPERZ-
open up your intake plumbing after 5-7000 miles and say that agian. Nothing is worse than seeing oil all through your piping. This happened to me on my last turbo setup- irritating. Too bad i never really knew about oil catch cans... There is definitely a purpose and need for this.
