AMS 900X Package

Looking at doing the full AMS 900X Package:
http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/ams-mitsubishi-lancer-evolution-x-10-cz4a-900x_package.html

Starting with a basically stock car with 45k miles and don't want to play games starting one mod and wishing I had done another... Car will be 10% Street, 30% Auto X and 60% Track. 100 Octane available no problem here...

Just want to get the scoop before I move forward for the total value of this package should I be looking at other packages or vendors? I like the one stop shopping if this is truly the best quality while being within reason of best "bang for buck"

Any advise welcome..

Thanks!

I would build your car around using E85 fuel.

I assume you're on Monterey California... in that case I would find a local tuner that is well established. GST comes to mind... RRE... etc. Lots of people capable of doing the work.

I would look at Extreme Turbo Systems... They do have the fastest Evo X afterall

first, the whole fun the moddin your car is yes to make it nicer and faster, but to also have a progression period. if you get the whole package at once, you'll be satisfied for a while, then just get bored of the car cuz there will be no progress anymore, ya no

with that aside, i say definitely do it!! almost 800hp to the wheels! thats awesome, i wish i had the money to get the package

i mean you can get other turbo kits for around 5-6 grand and u'll be pushing anywhere from 450-600hp. lots of variables to account for

I'm thinking of upgrading from my AMS 50 Trim to the AMS 900X setup for my EVO 8.....the block will have to be built though, but I'll be running 93 + meth, not E85....

I wonder if I could still hit 700+ with 93 + meth, with at least a 2.1L block and ported head and all supporting mods?

If you do a build like this please be prepared to be always fixing something down the road, small stuff right up to big stuff.

Are they actually claiming 900whp using 1000cc injectors? I doubt that especially if you are thinking about using e-85.
