MY 2.4l lr winter project / build thread
what started as a 2.4 LR swap has turned into well since its in the garage and its cold out.. let do this, an this lol so anyways here is what we have
2003 bby evo 8
former 2.0 fp red on e85 w/ supporting mods
new for 2011
2.4l lr built by me parts and knowledge from aaron at ER and various others from the board also so props so far everyone i have delt with on this forum have been great people!!

2.4l block, sent to machine shop cleaned up and honed
ETS hta3586 t4 twin scroll 1.06 ar kit w/ 22 psi wastegates
arp main studs
balance shaft elim.
stock 100mm crank
gsc 156mm rods (LONG ROD)
manley 86.5mm custom pistons (for long rods)
cometic HG
tial 50mm bov
2.4 timing belt
AEM cam gears (adj.)
BC 280 cams
BC springs / retainers
spoolinup COP
ARP L19 head studs
EGR block off and removal of unneeded sensors
comp clutch twin disc
JMF intake manifold
omni 4 bar
MAP map sensor adapter

THANKS to kyle and melissa at comp clutches for getting me setup w/ the right twin disc setup and i hope to get the clutch sometime next week then drop the motor in and get to making some power....
now turbo decisions... 3586, 37r, 6262?????!?!?!

thats the update for today.. (last night 1-26-11)
plan to get the clutch installed tonight ...
intake manifold ordered, fic 2150 injectors ordered hope to have turbo kit ordered by tonight.. getting excited!

This looks likes a sweet setup and it looks like you're having a lot of fun with it! And its really cool that you're doing the work yourself, that saves a lot of cash. Good luck with getting it all back together and I can't wait to see how this thing makes out!
