I just bought this turbo and will be installing it on a stock long block running pump gas. So I hope to provide more info for people interested in it.

On the contrary, I absolutely loved the turbo and the responsiveness. Honestly around town, starting on hills etc, I noticed no loss in bottom end going from a stock 2.0 with HKS 272s and a Green to a built 2.2L with S3's and this turbo in twinscroll T4 trim. It was amazing.

Car was parted. Blew the rear diff at the wrong time, ie life changes etc...had to go. Will build another when my shirt business etc pick up. Speaking of that...get a 4G63 Hurting Feelings T shirt ....down below lol

Lol cheers for the update, I have now bought one, but it has gone on the back burner for now. My cluch has started slipping and I kinda didn't allow that in my budget lol

Friend of mine rad this on his roughly 450whp evo for years without problems. I personally think its too much turbo for his evo.

Update: Anyone live in Australia Cairns and know a actually good tuner? Useless tuners here.... 2.3l atpgtx3582r and I make 329hp with 470 tq ... I make less power on a bigger turbo. I am sick of throwing money at my car... Just spent 12k to make 50hp less then originally.... Previous tuner did a **** job as well which cost me my engine rebuild. Forgot to mention... My keyless doors dont work, my unlock key fob doesn't work, my boost controller doesn't turn on, my radio didn't work until I honked my horn... Now it won't turn off even when I turn the ignition off... I have to unhook the battery now. Car going back Monday....

That sucks man. I've come to realize, nobody gives a crap about their work anymore especially in the automotive industry, they just want your money. I mean I get it, I'd like to get paid what I do to not do my job too. Hell I don't even have a "cool" "fun" job. It's kind of lame actually but unfortunately I have more self worth and pride than that.

Sometimes it's best to just count your losses and move on from it man. Kinda sounds that is how you are feeling anyway.

All the best with the situation SEETO

I do love this turbo and it put me at roughly 500hp on a mustang dyno with a boostin 2.3L build.

I wouldn't try going over 600whp on this turbo (w/ atp hotside)- back pressure becomes an issue.

Update:

Turbo ATP Gtx3582r stock location

Evo group and I flew up a tuner.
They went over my car testing everything... cam gear settings, any leaks, tested BOV etc...
Tuner reckons with this turbo I should be easily making 550whp.
Found my issue is back pressure. Just by removing the Cat converter my car jumped from 380whp to 500whp with next to no tuning. Since I live in the sticks there are no off shelf parts so I couldn't change my exhaust.

Recommended to max results with the turbo
- Manifold with 40mm ID (mine has a 36 ID)
- Exhaust 3.5'

This will improve spool and power greatly.

Anyway, cat converter is back on and I am making 394whp safely

Just thought I should let my fellow enthusiasts know
