Valve Cover Rubber Washers

I just got my valve cover powder coated, but I no longer have the rubber washers that fit between the valve cover and bolt heads.

Has anyone experienced any type of oil leak without these washers in place?

Thanks!

If you mean the gaskets under the valve cover around the spark plug holes, they come as part of a valve cover gasket set. If you install the valve cover without them the spark plug wells will fill with oil.

i'm sure he means the grommets that come attached to the bolts themselves... i've personally not had to deal with this issue... look at the gasket itself. if it covers the bolt holes or seperates them from the oil then youre fine. if they arent and the grommet is the seal then youre screwed... the pressure in that cover under boost is enormous so without some way to seal the bolt holes they will leak. best bet would be the dealer bro sorry...

I mean the ones under the bolts that mount the cover itself. I have all new OEM gaskets that are going on when I reinstall the valve cover. Thanks

Well I guess I'll have to see. If the powder coater finds them it won't be an issue, I might just dab some copper rtv if he doesn't.

Thanks
