OEM Mitsu Oil

OEM Mitsu Oil

What oil would they put in my Evo 8 if I took it to a dealership for an oil change?

Is it some branded "Mitsubishi Engine Oil" or Mobil 1? or what?

It is usually Mobil 1, but they charge so much per quart. I suggest bringing your own oil and letting them change it for you if you want to get it done in the dealership.

I dont want them to change my oil. I was just curious what it was to see if I could get it. If its plane old' Mobil 1 that wouldn't be difficult.

Someone once told me they had a special mitsu branded oil that is sold at the dealerships. I'm trying to validate that claim.

Not sure if it was Mitsu or Ford (pretty sure mitsu) ended their contract with mobil 1 (or wherever the oil come from) and now they are getting it from a different source. It was in a multi-page thread I think on here, but not sure how true it really is

Change your own oil to become more in touch with your application. It's easy/quick and you know 100% what oil is being put in the motor.

no one has ever changed my oil but me.

you are reading too far into things.

iirc the oem spec oil for evo 8's is Mobil 1 10W-30

the ONLY reason i go to the dealership for my oil change is because when i bought the car we made a deal for free oil changes for life.
