So i recently installed a catback exhaust, tightened everything, its been about a week. i was sitting in a parking lot idleing and all of a sudden my rpms slowly ..gradually..drop to almost 500...the car barely stays on, but it doesnt stall out...i press the gas pedal and it builds up to about a little over 5psi boost at most, but theres no power even when the rpms are at above 3000 theres just no power. even when i rev, it sounds super weak. i go back to the exhaust to hear it, and its sputtering...when in neutral the rpm just stays at around 500 and its a 'put put put put put' sound coming out of the exhaust when i go back and listen...i smelled clutch all the way home..what do you guys think it is? boost leak? *crosses fingers*

 

My guess is plugs, coils or wires. My truck did something similar when one of the coil over plugs went bad. Got worse as it got hot, the coil over plug basically went bad, and got more out of spec as it got hotter.

But dont know about the clutch smell though.

 

^ i think it could be possible as well, also PERHAPS the nisei licp inlet to the turbo MAY be out...but anything else you guys think?

 

Can think of lots of other "possible things" but none of them as likely and none of them that you want to have happen. That is unless you don't mind parting with lots of your time and money

 

make boost leak...check your licp

 

^^ +1 sounds like LICP might have loosened up...happened 2 me once on the highway...had completely popped off at 1 end
