Hallman Pro RX... how do you like it? and another ? about MBCs

I'm looking at getting a Hallman boost controller. I'm debating on getting the one with the remote adjustment knob. I'm curious as to how much "play" it has. That is, how far can you turn the remote knob without affecting the boost/actual controller position. There has to be some "play" in the cable system, right?

Also I noticed a line on their website in the FAQ section:

Q: Can I lower my boost with a boost controller?

A: No. With any boost controller you can only raise boost above what the factory actuator is set for.

I thought you could. I thought you totally take the factory solenoid out of the loop. So, wouldn't you be able to go below stock boost?

Yup, you sure can go below the stock boost level. The factory wastegate actuator is set to open at a lower boost level. don't know what it's set at, probably about half the factory boost level. The solenoid just bleeds out boost to the wastegate to artificially raise boost. So even though your boost gauge is reading 19psi, the wastegate is still seeing 9psi (just guessing at what the stock actuator is set at), and opening to bleed out exhaust pressure.

I don't want to spread mis-information here, but I've found information saying it was an 11psi actuator. I cannot find that source of info at the moment so take it at face value for the time being. I'll continue to attempt to dig this info up.
