OMG!!! this guy said wahtahtahtah! I almost passed out laughing at it because that's what it sounds like. I actually find the flutters funny, like the car has some gas or something. more like a tuuu tuuu tuuuuuuu

video is done.... it goes down like this... i'm in second gear... partial throttle... when i reach the rpm that amount of throttle achieves the intake goes vacuum and blows off... chatters... then again in third... then again in fourth i go full throttle 28psi and hit the clutch to blow off and get the full blow off.... i should have filmed a pull on 18psi when i blow off at that setting it chatters a bit as well...

If the car drives normally then it is OK and normal. The stock airbox dampens the sound for NVH puposes to make the car quiet for normal use. When you add an aftermarket intake you can hear more of the BOV sound even though it is recirculated. Totally normal.

If your car shakes and stutters when this happens, then that's a different story. But if it still "feels" smooth when this happens then no worries. An aftermarket BOV will only make it worse. . . I know - I've tested about 8 different types BOV's in the past 6 years.

try the APS twin vent. adjust it correctly and no flutter...been running it for years on a stock 9 turbo 26psi and no issues. just the occasional cleaning.

I've been trying to solve this problem on my synapse dv. this is totally a normal sound on a IX DV. on my synapse I tried different setting it is finally perfect, but I do get the chatter while On partial throttle I guess I'll play with the preload lil more. btw Joseph, thanks for the video, the quality isn't bad at all. I think you should try different dv, my synapse respond and aps I had responded way better while letting off gas pedal.

...that sound isn't normal..sounds like compressor surge...only time my car did that was when the DV was installed backwards..so when letting of the throttle the air wasn't going back into the intake, instead it travels the otherway and runs into the turbo .

but it sounds like either your DV is on backwards... the vacuum line isn't connected ....or u have a bad DV

if your valve opens and the valve is backward... IT STILL GOES INTO THE INTAKE... osmosis or convection or fluid dynamics... whatever proven theory you want to follow all say high pressure anything will look for the quickest way out to a lower pressure area... .a DV isnt a ****ing check valve... epic fail... you... face palm... go....

back to OP... don't listen to shark... he clearly is a moron... i feel bad for anyone else he's given advice to...

to fugi... i like my valve... it works.. its solid... i don't mind the flutter... the OP minds the flutter. i was just demonstrating that on a solid built car there is flutter so its normal and his car isn't broke...

to scothu... i was tipsy both times... i just referred to it as lit before... which you probably took as high... but i get tested so i dont do drugs...

Just to clarify, I don't mind the fluttering. I was just curious if it was compressor surge or not because on the stock intake it never did that. Yes, I understand it is going to be way quieter with a stock intake, but it sort of acts differently, as well as being louder, with a cone filter.

and yah, I took lit as being high. Never heard it as being tipsy lol.
