HTA3586 .82 to 1.06 T3 Single Scroll

Im doing a build on my evo 8 going from stock block to a LR 2.4 10.5:1 compression and I was thinking about going with a bigger hotside, a single scroll 1.06ar housing. Ive been using an HTA3586 .82 and im thinking about going 1.06 single scroll to maximize this set up. I would like to get some evom members input on this. I would also like to know if this has been done before since I havent seen a single scroll 1.06 HTA35r.

Thanks

going from a .82 to a 1.06 on a 35R is a huge jump - there is going to be a LOT more lag

Very true. However, with the HTA compressor flowing a a bit more than a standard 35R and running a 2.4 long rod, you not only have a bump in displacement with the ability to rev. Using the larger housing could show some decent gains.

Thats what i was thinking, It should make a decent amount of power from the housing swap on a 2.4, I guess i'll be one of the first to try it out on here.

Ive had the .82 on my HTA86 on the stock block only revving to 7200-7500 with kelford 272's, so i didnt have much rpm to play with. With the added displacement and most likely revving to about 8400-8600 it should turn out pretty good but we will see, I'll make a tread for my LR2.4 build HTA86 .82- 1.06 ar Single Scroll when i get closer to comming back to the states.

Thanks

I'd love to see what it would do on the bigger hotside, but just imagine how much fun a 2.4 on the .82 would be!
