that code has multiple meanings. you need to get in contact with a tuner to see if it has "tried" to be tuned before. my car was the same way when i bought it. was getting same code. maps were all jacked up. also check honeycomb on maf, look for any damage

misfires or due to loud drivetrain etc.. that code is actually disabled via a mitsubishi tsb recall on 2003-2004 evo's. (i think those are the only years) its with the 9417** rom.

No solution yet. I have checked just about everything here. Never touched the Maf I dont know what to look for if i was to tune it so I just may take it to a tuner. I bet its the maps that are all jacked up . For one and two its also because my intake and exhaust are aftermarket.

That Injen intake can cause the idle to be rough if the car is not tuned.

Okay listen up everyone I did some more work to the car and I noticed a profec 2 boost controller from greddy. Now the last idiot that had it had gorilla duct tape on the vacuum lines and he used those to cover up the vacuum leaks.

Now I fixed that and repaired the vacuum lines using new vacuum lines replacing the old ones. Now I will remove the boost controller and rewire the ecu back to stock and get rid of the boost controller. I attached my old boost guage I had on my previous car and it idles at -10 hg its supposed to idle at -20 isnt it?

It seems like the last person who had your car bought some of the cheapest parts and threw them on, aside from the boost controller you just found. It doesn't surprise me that he used duck tape to fix a boost lines. Now that its in better hands, i recommend that you just take it to the nearest reputable tuner and let them fix everything. They should be able to straighten things out. Good luck! For the record, mine idles at around -18/-19.

Okay aside from the idle beig rough, I know it has definitely an issue because it pops at idle. The injen intake is capped is it supposed to be capped on one of the ends?
