I have a question everyone

My car has a lumpy idle and here are my mods that came with the car when I brought it.

megan exhaust 3 inch no cat
megan 3 inh downpipe
injen intake and hardpipes all around
profec spec b 2 boost controller.

Now my car's idle is messed up now if someone can help me rule out what is wrong with the car. What would cuase a lumpy idle? I checked the vacuum lines and still nothing. My car idle's like it has aftermarket camshafts. so what gives do i have to tune the car over or else it will run like crap.

Ive tried everything I even cleaned the plugs scrapped all the soot off the plugs and cleaned them momentarilly just to see if it would work, and it didn't lol? any suggestions.

scraping the plugs won't help them. Just get new ones. Is the car tuned? The intake can cause the idle to get funky if not tuned.
btw, wrong section.

Just get new plugs. Also make sure the harness is plugged into your MAF on the intake.

Does it have cams? What kind of vaccum is it pulling at idle thats if you have a boost gauge to read that.

I have absolutely no idea if it has cams . And not I do not have a boost guage on it . I plan on throwing a boost guage on it in the future. I have t-bolt clamps on it all around.

if it has stock fuel mods, etc.. and you just recently picked the car up i would change to new plugs and make sure you gap to .022-.020

also a boost leak test to confirm there are no leaks on the car.. if the car has a decent amount of miles on it anything could be leaking. throttle body shaft seals, injector orings, vacuum lines, etc.

you should also change the oil and filter, i wouldnt trust what the last person has in the car.. id actually change all fluids.. tcase, trans, rear diff, engine, etc.. start fresh so you have a piece of mind that everything is what it should be.

is it idling lower in the rpm? that can cause it to have a lope at idle even without aftermarket cams.

also to check if it has cams, take the valve cover off and look at the markings on the cams.. or grab the rom from the ecu.. cars that have cams the tuners bump the timing up at idle loads to assist in smoother idling.

if you have a laptop and want to be able to program read, write, etc to your ecu and log data contact me i sell the tactrix cables at a good price and they ship directly from me in usa.

I does not have fuel mods I checked the fuel-rail stock, the fuelpump is stock I checked. I know I had to connect and disconnect and re-connect a whole bunch of stuff after they shipped the car and punctured teh change and changed everything no leaks at all.

Made sure all the lines are up and connected properly. Car only has 25k miles on it. I plan to boostleak test it this week on my day off. I changed all of the oils on this car and even did a diy on the drivetrain oils since noone has made a video on it its on youtube, trying to help out the evo community more.

The idle just doesn't seem steady enough it idles at 800 but on start-up it idles then dips down like its about to cut off then idles up and dips down again. Then when it is idling its at 800 then back to 600 and its just not stable enough. How much is the tactrix cable id like to know more information on that any website or link to where I can see and research more on your product?

contact me for pricing & shipping. I ship from PA so it would get to you in NY in 1-2 days USPS priority mail. On that site they come from new Zealand.

once you get the cable i can assist you if you want my services.. but without troubleshooting the car it sounds like a potential boost leak or possibly a malfunctioning
idle air controller or battery voltage related.

The boostleak I can handle that. As for the Idle air control valve how do I test that?

quick and dirty way to test is disconnect the plug from it and see how the car behaves with it disconnected. but you can ohm test it also

if it checks out then maybe unbolt it and see if its dirty etc in the valve. before you do any of this stuff do a thorough boost leak test first though.

you need evoscan or another program that reads DTC to check the code and to clear it.

Okay when it is idling on the intake manifold if the car is acting the way it is and I disconnect it how should it react?
