thrust bearing

I feel that this is a very stupid question but i cant seem to find any directions for the thrust bearings on the main... i just need the direction of the oil channel and whatnot or a copy of the manual online if possible.

I actually had a well known shop build a motor like this for me before...and it ended up in my oil pan in under 500 miles

yes make sure you do that also to make is a little easier you can put the crank in with the mains already in place and then slide the thrust bearings in one at a time in place. you will get the idea when you start to do it. just make sure to be really clean and recheck everything multiple times.

Or you can installed them with assembly grease. This is what i did. The grease makes them stick to the block so they dont fall out when you put the crank in

No worries!
Are you using ACL bearings?
1184H for mains?

i found when i used 1184H's for my mains, they were 3.6" for clearance. Too big. I ended up using 1184H +0.025 (1 thou), that closed them up to 2.4-2.6thou!

Good Luck with the build!
