So i decided to do a compression test before i put some new plugs in since iv never done one on the evo owned it since 70k miles. Well here are the results.

165 160 163 169

Seems pretty good car runs fine so i wasnt expecting crazy low numbers.
Factory standard is 163 with a min of 138. So looks like its time to add some new cams and port everything and try tomake some more power.
LMK what you guys think if these results seem solid, these 4g63's sure take the abuse.

Wow, great job on taking care of your car, just goes to show that if you do maintenance on time it will last. How long have you had the black on it??

Black's been on for 3k before that it was a ported evo9 making 339 for about 8k and stock 9.8 before that. Also mobil 1 high milage 10w30 before black now Brad Penn 10w30 oem or wix filters

 

Good numbers, I'm assuming you didn't do a 'wet' test thought? I find that generally doing both sometimes will give you more info. Good luck on the next level.
