Arrow For all fp turbo owners

So I have the common setup where the wastegate actuator, mbc and bov is Tee'd into the one vacuum source on the intake mani right behind the throttle body. I really want to isolate at least the bov from the same line as the wastegate and I want the line to be on the intake side of the throttle body and not the vacuumside, since with the fp turbos don't have that fitting on the compressor housing where can I/should I get another boost source from since I also don't have the fitting that would be on the factory J-pipe? Drill and mount a fitting into the licp? I always hear eveeryone saying to isolate them but I want to no where the best/easiest place is to do it

why do you have an fp turbo and not a stock turbo outlet j pipe, im running an fp red, my mbc runs off the nipple to wastegate, my blow off valve vacuum line runs off its own port on the intake mani, and my boost gauge runs off a t'd line off the fuel pressure regulator. You want to make sure the bov vacuum line and mbc line are seperate will help with functionality of the car, reason why your bov opens and closes based off boost pressure and vacuum right? your boost controller since its a mbc, has spring pressure that is tensioned and opens the wastegate, once you floor the gas pedal. So if those 2 things are running on the same vacuum line theres a chance you either might have a problem holding boost hitting peak boost properly, or there being a delay in your blow off valve response. Theres my 0.02, get a stock j pipe to alleviate this headache youll end up having, or spend the time and money and have a nipple welded onto your current j pipe. good luck

Nope I have a Forge bov and mbc..

I know that each think should be seperate hence why I made this thread

Isn't the stock J-pipe smaller and would choke the airflow? I don't even know what ic piping I have now but I figured the stock piece would be a choke in a fully aftermarket setup.....Would it matter where I put the new fitting? assuming the closer to the turbo the better

yes your correct you wanna make the fittin closer to the compressor housing as possible, as far as smaller diameter, even on a red or a black that j pipe isnt very small and isnt very long of a piece, so most licps, the velocity comin out the compressor housing wont be reduced too much by the smaller stock j pipe, and by the time it hits the 2.5 licp ( which most aftermarket are) turbulence in it should be greatly reduced. thats just my 0.02

Thanks, I think ill just deal with it for now till I feel like pulling off the housing and ill drill and tap a fitting into it, I need to change to the divided wastegate gasket since its leaking at idle so ill just do it then
