I also have the GSC stage 2 cams and the beehive springs, and I also have the same ticking you describe. I have been told by several people that it is just lifter tick. Other than it being noisy, it really hasn't effected the car at all.

Mine seems to come & go. It still performs well so I'm not going to worry too much.

i did topline lifters and it made no difference in sound. i even installed thicker valve spring seats that came with my gsc beehives and still no change in sound.

recently i installed a coolant temp guage and have been monitoring it now that its gotten cooler out. on an 80* day im sitting in traffic with the ac on my temps didnt go higher than 188*. now this morning on my way to work with temp at 30* outside one my thermostat opened the highest temp i could get was 169*.

ive read that the 180* is the optimal temp for the stock motor and im guessing since my block is built i shouldnt be below that number and maybe what im hearing is poston slap. the sound is more pronounced in the cold weather but there is still no signs of performance loss.

im dont know if anything i just said has any weight to it though, just a thought.
