Buschur 2.1L water pump question

When installing the custom water pump setup on this motor, do you need to do anything with the water pipe that connects to the pump and runs to the thermostat housing?

I can't get that pipe to line up with the pump, it's off by a bit..

Not if u buy English racing water pump or if you run the spacer... You only have to change stuff if you run a electric water pump..

It's a Buschur motor, and Buschur-modified water pump... as far as I know, it should bolt right up. Idk... :/

I wouldn't recommend running the spacer. I somehow recall helping a buddy put a BR 2.1 in his car and coolant leaked out from the seal....

Grab some JB weld or liquid steel and sort of manufacture the rest of the tube to get it to line up. Make sure you let the JB weld or whatever you choose cure properly.

Serious note though.... Maybe that spacer was meant for use with the custom water pump that you just got....BR should have mentioned something like that to you though.

No spacer behind the pump, Buschur runs a spacer on the pulley part itself.

It appears the water pump stretches too far back (toward the firewall) so, it goes right past the water pipe just a bit when lined up with all of the bolt holes on the block.

SOLVED: I unbolted the water pipe from the back of the block and forced it over a bit, and was able to get the pipe to sit in the water pump. ...Wasn't able to get the bolt back in the block after that because it was too far over, but everything is pretty tight. See how it holds...
