Exedy tripple owners please step in....

Have you ever had this happen?......Please see pics below. In 5k The upper most disc is pretty much shot around the hub area and the hub worn really bad in this area. This was causing bad high rpm lock out and would lock me out of gear at idle as well.

I emailed exedy about this and they game me the usual bull **** answers naming every possible cause under the sun. The trans/clutch was assembled correctly. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. looking at other peoples for sale threads I have seen signs of the same thing happening to a couple clutches just not as bad.

new exedy triple was installed @ same time as a 5 speed conversion was done with a customer supplied used trans. car came back with less than 1000 miles on it, making strange noises & engagement/disengagement was all kinds of wrong. pulled it apart and sent the trans to shep. turns out the input shaft was slightly bent. problem was fixed by replacing the input shaft, floater & one disk with a damaged hub.

obviously crappy design . two threads going on this issue now.
sucks for those who pay so much for a clutch and dont get reasonable use out of it.

the discs need to float on that shaft. a groove like this would cause that disc to stick in one spot and thus drag. clutch would never disengage correctly once this happens.

Makes me sort of angry that I just installed an Exedy Triple on my build a month ago.
