Help with notch shifting from weighted shift knob..wow

Ok....everyone i have had many dsms and so on and my evo has been a blast so far...the ONLY thing keeping me from modding it is the trannies ability to be rather notchy ( i am thinking cause of the triple and double synchros) anyway....i experimented with something that has helped a ton....its kinda dumb but i installed a new style ball shaped greddy shift knob ( its extrememly exteremly weighted ) shifting is sooooo much better now. I noticed adding a weighted knob helped a lot on the older dsms so i found the new heavy as **** greddy knob and wow what a diff....also i am going to get the symbroski ( i believe) stainless spacers and then adjust the whole shifter assembly to its "sweet spot" i was planning on changing the fluids also but then decided against it after speaking with many places and them telling me not too....it will tear stuff up. Remember just cause it feels smoother doesn't mean its protecting your investment. Trust me it has to be this knob...but for mitsubishi threaded shift rods...it will spin right on.

Nice find. My B&M shift kit has a similar type of "heavy" knob. The shorter shifting lever really helps in finding first gear on a cold morning.

I short, hard, heavy knob definitely helps the overall feel. I love my Kartboy unit. $40 shipped!
