My gauge is usually hovering at 10-11 at idle.

Wow 10hz? Didn't think the s2s would read that low.

Oh no, not at all. I'm still on stock cams and was wondering for knowledge sake as well as the fact Ill need to get a different Tial BOV spring when the switch happens. I wasn't expecting such a dramatic drop from -17/-18 right now at stock, to -10/-11 on S2's. S3's or a full 280 duration higher lift cam like HKS's maybe.

I woulda bought the wrong spring for sure.

Yea, i think the softest tial spring goes with the S2/S3 cams, as well as my buschur's.

i have a crap mechanical boost gauge so its not going to be the most accurate, so take this with a grain of salt. Evo 8 stock turbo stock cams, idle around 20. sotck 8 turbo, S2 cams w/ full valvetrain, right around 9-10 depending on how i adjust the biss. usually right around 10. big difference, i was surprised big time too. idle is a little hard to dial in and diff when hard braking to a stop.

but the cams pull like a MF!!! they pull way harder up top than the lil 8 turbo can support. love these cams, def get them.

not going to compare dynos or anything like that, and this isnt a straight up comparison (bc thats not how i spend my money). but with the addition of the cams, IC piping (stock FMIC), and an intake, i gained approx 47whp.

yea i know, other mods, more boost, diff temps blah blah blah. just giving you an idea with stock 8 turbo. gl brotha

Thank you very much. Yeah, I had my mind set on these cams. They definitely give quite a bit of HP on VIII 's and a lil on IX's and make a good difference uptop without sacrificing bottom end or mid range power.

to be honest man i think u meant in/HG inches of mercury aka vacuum haha, me personally on mine during cold start warm up wont even register my boost gauge will just shake somewhat haha then after like 5-10 seconds, it will rest about 10-11 like others.
