Good deal?? Will it fit???

I'm new to the evo game and want to know if this is a good deal and is it a direct bolt in on my 2003 Evo 8?

Since it's being sold by AWD, yes it will work in your car.

Little more to it than just swapping blocks though, not hard but you should be aware of the differences before starting so you can adjust the total price of the build.

Can you tell me the differences or post a link. I am still confused on what block is exactly in the evo's. I was under the assumption that it was a 2g 4g63t. I have seen the post about the blocks changing through the years and that the evo blocks have 5 bolts that bolt the trans to the motor.

The answer that I am really looking for and cant find is what block is in the evo, or what is it know as? Is it just known as 03-06 Evo block or is there a model number for it (ie: 4g63)

I prolly wont buy it as the cost of the block, sending it to a machine shop and buying the parts to make it a 2.1 or 2.4 it would be cheaper to buy a short block from Buschur and send them my old one. I was just wanting to build a block and still drive the car at the same time.

Is your current block destroyed? If so, then I'd suggest tearing it down to see what parts are still usable from your bottom end.

If your engine isn't blown up, then I'd suggest spending money elsewhere.

Either way, you need to do a LOT of research... Search around here for info on 2.1L and 2.4L builds. There's tons of info on both.
