Hello everyone,

I gathered from a few websites.. namely crower and hks that their 4g63 con rods are not suited for the evo 8.... why is that? isn't the engine the same as the 7? what's the difference with the internals? Even the toda stroker kit has to be modified to be fitted in the evo 8 engine.... of course one has to bore the block but shaving the con rods and such to me is un heard of... my friend installed the toda stroker on his 7 with out these complications... can you guys please enlighten me?

the toda pistons have a notch on the side to clear the factory oil squirters. the squirters are at a slightly different angle than the notch on the toda pistons. Just grind the notch a little bigger...
