Motor Mounts
i run the torque solutions front MM, just installed underhood/base bushings + driveshaft bushings. car feels great but after the first week or two of the mounts i barely notice them anymore( already have 272 cams thou), i think they settled in good.. i might get the 2 side ones soon.. im worried the stock ones wont b able to keep up with the stiffer front one ? but otherwise seems to be fine, my car is a DD too
This has probably been said before but I figured Id chime in, when I installed the powerflex front lower motor mount I would get a vibration at idle that I could hear in the dash...then I installed the two side motor mounts and the idle vibration went away but theres a small vibration when I start to rev up, I want to say maybe 1500 rpms. Its not a place Im normally at so it doesnt bother me, when Im idling it doesnt vibrate and when I start driving I get past the rpm quickly so its not a big deal.
Watch out for the torque solutions rear mount! The bolt holes are wayyy too big for the oem bolt size. The fit is loose and sloppy. I had to machine sleeves for mine to fit snug. More high quality aftermarket Parts..... not!
Did you ever find any 65A durometers? I want some mounts for both sides that have this rating but cant find any anywhere......stock is 45 so i def dont need anything more than a 65 i would think and i want as little vibration as possible
Yea i have heard a few people say that. I have 110k so mine are probably just worn out but id rather not put stock back on there.......if ony some one made a 60-65 rated as the stock is 45, and the lowest iv found is 75.....
I'm thinking of changing mine to ralliart inserts, apparently they are stronger rubber compound then oem & increase a slight vibration. I personally don't think it will create vibration like polyurethane & could last a lot longer for high performance evos them oem rubber... Anyone that has these fitted please tell me & others if its worth changing to ralliart inserts? My new oem ones are cracked, not sure how...
