Fluidampr Install

hey guys!

Im looking at buying a used fluidampr for my evo 8 (the steel one) i have been searching for an evo install guide or something of the sorts and have only came across a DSM install. is it just the four bolts? just bolt it on and am good? should i be worried that it is used? its in good condition but it has been installed and ran already.

thanx for you help!

It's the same process as any other Harmonic Balancer...As far as used goes, I would personally buy one new as something like that is important, but thats me.

The torque for the four bolts is so low - 25Nm - the crank won´t spin easily.

The Fluidampr has its own recommended torque values. As far as a service manual, I bought one in disc form off eBay and you can save the manual on your computer/laptop and read it with Adobe.

So what are the torque numbers when installing the fluidampr? Some say 20lb/tq others 25. I went to their website but didn’t find any info for the evo 8/9 application

FSM says 19 plus or minus 2 ft lbs. 19 plus or minus 2 and 20 - pretty much the same thing.
