So did my turbo just commit suicide?
So I had just started driving hadn't really warmed my car up as much as I normally would but I didn't rev hard or anything. Anyway I have like no power and the car almost stall. I immediatly pull over and let the car sit for a little while and warm up some more. Then I drove the rest of the way back to my house like a mile give or take, car had some trouble building boost and just felt laggy.
I inspected everything from the outside and nothing looked cracked and there was no oil dripping under the car. Then later in the day, like 20 minutes ago I decided to paint my intake pipe. I took it off and there was a bunch of oil just sitting there, right at the turbo in the coupler and in the turbo as well. So is my turbo probably dead? what else could this mean? Is it time for a BB Green?
Thanks, sorry for the long story.

i had oil in the intake on my turbo MR2 and it was coming from the lack of a catch can. i installed one and it stopped, as far as the loss of power IDK.
Is there any shaft play? Are all lines connected fully? Did you check for boost leaks? Also, inspect your LICP and intercooler to see if oil passed through. Does the inside of your intake also have oil in it?

LCIP has a bit of oil in it. Intake also has a bit of oil in it, only just at the mouth where it connects to the turbo though...
If the turbo is not displaying signs of shaft play and your car is not smoking then it should be fine.
When my old FP Red went it showed no previous signs. I was spooling up...metallic pang noise. I could no longer boost at all. The best I could do was hit atmospheric pressure. (0 psi. or vaccum)
