Voltage jumps from 14 to 12 randomly

Ok so i have a 2006 Evo MR. Battery is tested good and alt belt is tight. So what happens is the voltage drops to 12 from 14 randomly and I cannot replicate it or figure out a point that I can affect it. I was told it might be the voltage regulator. But I'm thinking the alternator. Any ideas?? Thanks for the help in advance.

Alternator and voltage regulator equals same thing. The voltage regulator is inside the alternator.

Oh ok, I see. So verdict seems alternator. Looks like I am going to pick one up. $221 isnt bad for OEM. Especially since the regulater is $130 and you have to take the alt apart.

Thanks for the help guys
